These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Vasani Technologies Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), governing your use of the My TTC mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. What My TTC is

My TTC is an independent transit-tracking app that displays real-time and scheduled arrival information for TTC, MiWay, Brampton Transit, GO Transit, Durham Region Transit, YRT/Viva, Oakville Transit and other Greater Toronto Area agencies, using data those agencies publish publicly. My TTC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the TTC, Metrolinx, or any transit agency it displays data for.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the App, and you must comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. The App does not require a Vasani Technologies account to use its core features; where a subscription is involved, your subscription is managed through your Apple ID or Google account.

3. License to use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the App Store's or Google Play's usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App, or use it to build a competing product.

4. My TTC+ subscription

My TTC+ is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that removes ads and unlocks home screen widgets, currently offered at $1.99/month or $6.99/year (prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice). Where a free trial is offered, it converts automatically into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Billing: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at purchase and again at the start of each renewal period.
Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Managing or cancelling: manage or cancel any time in your device's subscription settings (App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions).
Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies — we don't process refunds directly and don't control their refund decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's data
Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the App
Interfere with the App's operation via bots, malware, or automated tools not provided by us

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Arrival times, schedules, service alerts, and trip plans shown in the App are estimates based on data published by third-party transit agencies, and can be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable due to factors outside our control — including agency outages, GPS drift, traffic, and weather. Do not rely on the App as your only source of transit information for time-critical trips. The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vasani Technologies Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or missed connections, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, text, and graphics, is owned by Vasani Technologies Inc. and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Transit agency names, logos, and route branding referenced in the App belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services the App displays information for.

9. Third-party links and services

The App may link to third-party services, such as ride-hailing apps. We don't control and aren't responsible for those services' content, accuracy, or practices.

10. Termination

You can stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 7, and 8) will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
